Hello! I have a couple of quick updates for my artwork and goings on as I head into winter:
New Shop at Society6
This month I opened a brand new shop with Society6 for my artwork printed on all manner of media, including t-shirts, phone cases, and all other kinds of cool gear. Right now you can get these and prints of all sizes and materials in 4 of my 'Ht' paintings, with plenty more to come, including some super cool new art from the Qena Sint'isis collection (like this beauty to the right ->)
I'll be keeping the shop on this site open for originals and other one of a kind type pieces.

Silver Hand Distinction
Recently I was awarded a Silver Hand distinction by the Alaska State Council on the Arts for my artwork. The distinction is a great honor and helps promote artwork in all media of the indigenous cultures of Alaska. By being one of the artists who is able to mark their artwork as authentic to their tribe and culture I can help add to the definition of what indigenous authenticity means and help combat cultural counterfeit proliferation and loss of identity caused by sociopolitical regionalization. It is something I am very proud of, especially now because of my current work with indigenous language symbolism.
That's what I wanted to touch on for now. On top of creating new art and writing materials for the Qena Sint'isis series, including some in depth study of the Dena'ina syllabary as it relates to my alphabet, I will also be putting together some sketches and ideas for new series proposals in 2016.
As always, if you would like to get in touch or see what's new as it happens please email me at argent@argentkvasnikoff.com or follow me on Instagram at @argentkvasnikoff
