This month I would like to let everyone know about the dates of my upcoming exhibit at Alaska Pacific University in January as well as a special event I have been invited to speak at this December.
My next Qena Sint'isis exhibit will open at the Leah J. Peterson Gallery at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday, January 4th with a public reception at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. I will be giving a brief introduction and if you are able to travel to Alaska after New Year's please feel free to visit the exhibit. Yes, January in Alaska is cold but it is my favorite time of year as it is when we can see the state in all of its magical winter majesty. The exhibit will be open until January 27th.
Before the exhibit I will be speaking at the Homer Public Library in Homer, Alaska on Thursday, December 6th at 6:00 PM. This will be to give an installation dedication for my sculpture Tuggeht Janju Tets' which I have donated to the library and it will now be permanently installed there in that wonderful facility. Also at the event will be Homer artist Deland Anderson who will be exhibiting pieces in the library's gallery space this winter.
I also have an upcoming announcement to make about an exhibit tour I will be participating in throughout most of next year and when the details are finalized soon I can share the information here.
Thank you so much for all of your support and Happy Holidays.
